Program:
This high-level overview covers major revisions and conceptual changes in NFPA 99-2012, Health Care Facilities Code. Because NFPA 99-2012 is a mandatory reference from the 2012 NFPA 101 Life Safety Code®, the changes in this edition will have a major impact on health care facilities as soon as CMS and other accrediting bodies adopt the 2012 NFPA 101 Life Safety Code®. The major changes in Electrical Systems and in Gas and Vacuum Systems will be included. The new NFPA 99 risk assessment approach is also covered. The presentation also includes a review of the extra content included within the 2012 Health Care Facilities Code Handbook.
